Friday at work, my boss gave me these. About a year ago, we found them behind some pieces we were disassembling to reframe. The look of them reminded me SO MUCH of the graphic design work my grandfather used to do. I have no way of knowing if he actually did do them or not, but the location, era and style all fit - and I desperately wanted them. But whenever we find things of interest in the backs of frames, we let the client know to see if they want those things or not. My boss told me that she'd look into it and if the client didn't want them, I could have them. I'm not sure if she ever did ask the client but considering the fact that WE framed them to begin with (like a million years ago), we probably used them for backing without the client ever even knowing they were there. And I'd all but forgotten about them until she plopped them on my workbench today with a smile. So excited. Even if my grandpa had nothing at all to do with the designs, the pieces themselves are great. Thanks, boss lady!!
